January 2013

Can you believe it is already January?? Crazy. As we start this new year, we are starting a brand new sermon series called “People with Purpose”. For too many people, they simply stumble through life hoping things will end up okay. We want to be a people and a church with vision and focus, and that is what this series will be all about.

Under Construction!

You may also notice some changes around or worship space. We are hoping to make space for 100 more people this year! This means we are going to try some new layouts with the band and chairs – so please be patient while we work out the new configuration!

Kids and Nursery

As our church continues to grow, so do our kids and nursery departments! We are always looking for a few good folks to help out back there on Sunday mornings. If you are interested please contact ”Clarissa Wallace” <clarissawallace1@aol.com>, or ”Marcia Brown” <marcia_dawnb@yahoo.com.

Missions

For the next few months we are going to throw everything we have at the Dream Center in Downtown Little Rock. This is an excellent organization and we believe they are changing the lives of some people who need it. It is an honor to partner with them. On January 19th, (Saturday) we are going to serve at the Dream Center and we are hoping all will participate. Meals for Folks

Sherry Wilcox has done an awesome job of making sure people who have lost loved ones or experienced a hard time get meals from our church. I would love to see more people participating in this effort. If you would be willing to make a meal every now and then for a family in our church (or in our community) please contact Sherry and let her know – 501-412-8376

Youth

Josh is doing an awesome job with our youth! We are so blessed to have such awesome volunteers. But, as you may have noticed, our youth is growing and Josh could use some help! 18 – 24′s

I couldn’t be more excited about January, because I am going to get to spend sometime with this crew! Some awesome people have volunteered to take over the Bible Study so that I can spend a few months hanging out with the Fanatics! I can’t way, we are going to have fun and you all are about to step into some brand new roles in our church!

New Website -

Check out the new website. We have spruced things up and even added a new calendar feature - http://thegracechurch.net/calendar/. This site will soon be one-stop shopping for anyone seeking information about Grace. Sermons online, Baptism videos, missions information. It will all be there! Check it out!!

Small Groups

Small groups are a vital part of our church and we have some great ones happening right now that you can be involved in! On Sunday mornings there is a women’s group, a Bible Study group and a sermon discussion group. During the week there is a Bible Study at Brit Fergusons and a Couple’s Group at Mark and Shelly Allen’s. Calling all Scrapbookers!

January 11th – 13th is our annual scrapbook retreat weekend at Mt. Eagle! It’s a fun-filled, relaxing, girls’ weekend! $40/person/contact Brandy Ryan- “Brandy Ryan” <mallardlite@windstream.net>, ASAP!
